A single channel video commissioned for the 2025–25 exhibition, Weather and the Whale, opened at UC Santa Cruz’s Institute for Arts and Sciences in June of 2025.

With written prose set to imagery from the burn scar of the 2025 Palisades Fire, historic maps and artworks depicting the story of Jonah and the whale and the routes of British imperialism of the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries, the piece presents a layering of image of history, flashing up in a moment of disorientation and confusion, Kaleidoscope travels through layers of time and history, considering rising heat, ocean routes and the residues of war.
